There are two new Legion Promos that are creating a lot of buzz and have us craving more Marvel. Legion is a new X-Men themed TV show coming to FX on February 8th, 2017. This can't come soon enough.

Check out trailers from my previous articles entitled: SDCC Airs X-Men Legion Trailer - Looks Crazy Good! and New Legion Promo - Is This Real?

Noah Hawley (Fargo creator) is the showrunner, writer, director and executive producer for the new FX series Legion starring Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Beauty and the Beast), Rachel Keller (Fargo), Jean Smart (Designing Women), Hamish Linklater (The Newsroom) and Aubry Plaza (Parks & Recreation, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates).

David Haller (Dan Stevens) is not what you would think of as a normal Marvel superhero. He has a history of mental illness and has been in and out of the mental hospital since a teen as he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. What if the voices he hears in his head is not from a mental illness but the fact that he might be a mutant? What if the visions he sees are real messages? There are those out there who want to know what they are. David happens to be the son of Charles Xavier (aka Professor X, who created the X-Men) and Gabrielle Haller (an Israeli Holocost survivor). This character first appeared in Marvel's New Mutants comic book #25 in March 1985.

This new promo is called "Evolve" and focuses on Jean Smart's character Melanie. She seems to be trying to help David, but is she a force for good or trying to use him? Time will tell. This promo is very cool. It shows what goes on in the hospital and how David is having a hard time of it. According to Melanie, "The human race is evolving and those the government can't control, are killed."

The second promo is a bit shorter and called, "Control". Hamish Linklater, who's just known as The Interrogator, asks David a question, "You think you can control things with your mind?"  Well, it would appear so.

I love how Legion is a great mix of mystery, action and humor. I love Jean Smart. She seems like a trustworthy ally but time will tell with this one. Aubry Plaza just makes me giggle every time I see her. She is so great and her delivery of lines keeps you on the edge of your seat. Dan Stevens seems so great that you just can't help but root for him! All in all, these promos only make me crave more!

At last report, there is going to be an eight episode run, but I am sure it will get picked up. From what I have seen in the promos, it is too cool not to. Are you looking forward to seeing Legion as much as I am?
