Following the Golden Globes the next big event of the Award season are the BAFTAS. The 70th British Film Academy Awards, hosted by Stephen Fry, will take place in London on February 12th.

This year's nominees include Damien Chazelle's La La Land which has just taken home several Golden Globes. The nomination once again includes Ryan Gosling for Best Actor in a Leading Role, a nomination for Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Emma Stone as Best Actress leading to a total of 11 nominations. 

The Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has a total of five nominations including Best Special Visual Effect, Best Sound, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best British Film. 

Other than that there are a variety of familiar faces we've just seen at the Golden Globe Awards including Viola Davis who's, once again, nominated for her role in Fences, Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant are among the nominees for Florence Foster Jenkins. 

Closely following La la Land is Tom Ford's Nocturnal Animals with 9 nominations, Manchester by the Sea and Lion both received six nominations, the ladder including Nicole Kidman for Best Supporting Actress and Barry Jenkin's drama Moonlight scored four nominations.
