Apparently, Fox network is close to ordering new episodes of The X-Files for next year. These are quite promising news that give us a tad bit of hope after recent negotiations failed and didn't lead to anything.

The schedules of The X-Files leads, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, are in question. Fox President David Madden has described things as "complex" BUT there's hope. Looks like announcement regarding an 11th season of The X-Files will be made soon, one way or another.

Madden wanted to have things finalized by Wednesday, but the logistics didn't pan out in time. There won't be as many episodes as the original seasons but we can expect more than the short run revival that aired in 2016.

If an 11th season is confirmed, it will air in 2018. Voice of TV will keep you updated as more information is made available. Stay tuned.
