What's cooler than being cool? Rust Cohle! Okay...that was cheesy. But how could we forget one of the most iconic TV characters in recent memory, the one who spurred on the McConaissance full throttle? Well, apparently Matthew McConaughey can't quite shake him either, as he said in an interview this weekend that he'd be open to revisiting the character.
On The Rich Eisen Show, Eisen brought up how we almost had the actor playing the role of Marty (which eventually went to Woody Harrelson) and speculation of a possible return. McConaughey replied that while True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto is taking a break from the show and season 3 is in limbo for the time being, if the script was solid he'd be back in a heartbeat.
You can take a look at the exchange below, and try to wrap your heads around the possibility of more philosophical ramblings from Rustin Cohle in the future.
